The first three days is most critical to keep the whitening results after teeth whitening. After whitening the pores or dentinal tubules are open and teeth can absorb any color until they harden. So, you must wait at least 3 days to consume some foods or beverages which may stain teeth. Remember, the RULE is : Avoid to any substance, be it liquid or solid, that can stain your white T-shirt. Include :

  • Avoid to dark beverages for three days.
    Strictly avoided : Tea, Coffee, Cola, Soy sauce, Wine, Sodas and Juice of Grapes, Cherries, Tomatoes, Peaches, Raspberries, Cranberries, Blackberries, Cherries. If you really need, a useful tip is to use a straw when drinking liquids.

    As much as possible only drink clear liquids and water.

  • Avoid to chocolates and sweets for three days.
    Sweet foods and similar other food groups can be harmful for your teeth. Chocolates are usually sticky and can be very harmful for your teeth.   • Avoid to cold or hot liquids for three days.

  • Avoid to cigarette smoking at least 1 month.
    Cigarettes contain nicotine and its nicotine content stains the teeth and blackens them. Smokers is best to stop smoking for at least 3 weeks before commencing the teeth bleaching procedure. After teeth whitening procedure it is advisable not to smoke at least 1 month.
