Step 1 : Prepare Catalyst Putty Balls
Wash and dry hands and stand in front of a mirror.
Step 2 : Kneading The Putty
Getting one clear tray, remove the blue putty from one cup and the white putty from one cup. Quickly knead the two together until they are well blended into one color. This should take no longer than 40 seconds.
Step 3 : Forming The Putty To Fit The Impression Trays
Quickly form the putty into a round, narrow finger shaped roll and place it in the impression tray.
Step 4 : Put Putty Inside The Tray
Push filled tray over the upper teeth, making sure teeth are centered along the middle of impression material. Using your fingers, press tray firmly and evenly until putty completely covers your teeth and part of your gums. Hold tray very still for 4 to 5 minutes. The putty will feel firm.
Step 5 : Taking The Impressions
Remove the impression and rinse with cold water.
Step 6 : Inspect The impression
Make sure that the front 8 teeth as well as the gums above the teeth are visible in your impression. Do not remove the impression from the plastic tray.
